For the Gloss Canvas, the finish is rolled on the printed surface of the print and acts as a good protective barrier against moisture
and handline. For this we use BullDog Ultra, a coating solution for the digital fine art industry. Bulldog is a solvent borne vinyl
elastomer clear coat designed to protect water sensitive inkjet prints on canvas (i.e.: giclées) from premature fading,
water, abrasion, cracking and excessive peeling.
For the Matte Canvas, which is a little more sensitive media type but also a little more popular than our gloss, we use
Hahnemuhle Protective Spray. This is applied modestly in order to preserve the matte appearance and still allow some additional
UV protection. A very slight satin shine on dark colors can be visible when used on the matte.
