MAY MAYBERRY
THE PHOTOGRAPHS ON THESE PAGES ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY - IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DISPLAY AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE COLOURS IN THE ORIGINALS - ALL MONITORS ARE CALIBRATED DIFFERENTLY AND, EFFICIENT AS DIGITAL CAMERAS ARE, THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE THE MILLIONS OF COLOURS VISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE.
These paintings are no longer available for sale, but you may purchase a high quality Giclée Print of most images on this page. High Quality Limited Edition Prints on stretched canvas are offered for sale, as well as unlimited. To order, please use the appropriate Paypal button for your choice of print.
Each print is made to order, and as such, cannot be returned; so please be sure of your requirments before placing the order. In exceptional circumstance I may be able to offer a refund on a Limited Edition Print - please contact me to discuss your requirements.
Payment for prints will be in advance using Paypal - and are covered by the normal Paypal insurance and guarantees.
Your print will be shipped directly from the printer as soon as payment is received. You should receive it within 7-14 days - usually sooner. I use first class printers in both the UK and the USA to ensure that delivery times and costs are kept to a minimum.
If the order is for a limited edition print, then delivery will take a bit longer. The print will be sent to me and I will issue a signed, serially numbered Certificate of Authenticity before final despatch to you. Delivery should be within 28 days - although I would expect this to be much sooner.
Arran View
On the Ayrshire coast, we never tire of watching the Isle of Arran in all its guises. Sometimes when you look out over the sea it seems as though there is nothing there; other times, as in this depiction, we feel like we can reach out and touch the island. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I do.

Gothica
A surreal portrait of my teenage daughter. Her stunning eyes follow you around the room - As usual, with the limitations of computer
monitors, the colour and quality of this reproduction does not do justice to the original, which is as vivid in colour as it is in imagination
(her's - I hasten to add).
LIMITED EDITION PRINTS AVAILABLE

Open edition prints also available on 12" x 9" Fine Art Paper , please contact me for prices.
Crannog on Loch Tay
In the North of Scotland, these crannogs stand out against the landscape as a reminder of how our ancestors used to live.
This is a watercolour study of the same scene in the oil painting of the same name (see below). In this version, I painted in the buoys, floating around the Crannog - I felt they led the eye nicely to the misty mountain in the background.

The Auld Kirk, Alloway, Ayr
Watercolour painting of the Auld Kirk in Ayr, Scotland where some of Robert Burns' family, including his father, are buried. I must admit, it's a bit disconcerting seeing my own name on a gravestone... (I signed elsewhere on the acrylic version.)
Unfortunately, the quality of this digital photograph is not good enough to make prints from. The original is in a private collection in the USA, so I am unable to re-scan/photograph the painting, but prints are available from the acrylic painting of the same scene. Contact me for details.
For background information and the words of Burns' poem, "Tam o' Shanter. A Tale", please follow this link. A great story from the Bard - one of the world's greatest poets!

Christmas Bouquet and Jug
My partner bought me a bouquet of beautiful flowers a few days after Christmas and the colours were so pretty I just had to paint them. The jug is one of my favourites, hand-painted in rich vibrant colours and I thought it would complement the rose colour of my carnations perfectly. I think I made a good choice!

Sunset Over Arran
A beautiful summer sunset over the Isle of Arran as seen from the mouth of the River Irvine on the Ayrshire coast. I never tire of watching the colours of the Ayrshire sky as the sun goes down in the evenings.

Crannog on Loch Tay
In the North of Scotland, these crannogs stand out against the landscape as a reminder of how our ancestors used to live. The mist on the mountains helps to create a romantic vision of the past - I expect the reality was rather more stark.
These crannogs are currently being investigated by the BBC - a link to their web page is here. Channel 4 also have some interesting information on their website and they have a couple of photographs which closely resembles the view in this painting. It is surprising how many people in Scotland, let alone the rest of the UK, are quite unaware of their existance.
